FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Is it normal to feel tenderness after filling?
Sensitivity is considered normal until the first 2 to 3 weeks after filling. Sensitivity may be seen for a while after the filling, both because the affected area is large and because it may be close to the living tissue of the tooth, which we call pulp. But this is not the only reason for sensitivity. If the caries is not cleaned adequately, sensitivity can also be seen in cases where the filling does not hold, falls, and the filling is high due to the failure of the filling to be performed successfully.
In the presence of these conditions, the filling can be renewed, if necessary, by consulting the physician.
However, if there are pains that do not go away, arousing and throbbing pain at night, in this case, root canal treatment may be required. In the presence of such complaints, consult your doctor.
What should be done if the filler falls off?
An appointment with the dentist should be made immediately for a new filling. Until the appointment process, avoid using that area and keep the area clean.
How can I detect that my tooth is decayed?
There are several ways to understand this. The first of these is visual inspection. Bruises appear black-brown. This is how bruises on the chewing surface can be detected. However, x-rays are required for the detection of caries at the interfaces.
